The anti-marriage forces have one of their favorites back in the fold. Former Senator Rick Santorum is sending out emails for 2M4M. That's the "hip" new campaign launched by the National Organization for Marriage (NOM). Santorum is still obsessing about the gays and he's determined to save DOMA. Here's a snippet of the email:
Our historic campaign has one goal: STOP Congress from abolishing the Defense of Marriage Act (known as DOMA).Like a grassfire!!!
DOMA was carefully written to specifically shield any state from being forced to recognize gay marriages from other states.
This makes DOMA a strong firewall against out-of-control, anti-marriage judges.
But . . . if Congress repeals DOMA, then gay couples, who “married” in the six states where radical officials have imposed gay marriage, will sue other states to recognize their “marriages”.
Soon gay marriage, like a grassfire, would spread across America!.
In case you haven't seen Andy Cobb's video about 2M4M, watch it:
One last thing: Google "Santorum." Dan Savage's definition of "Santorum" is still the top search result -- and it's NSFW.
Okay, one other last thing: Don't forget, Santorum's pals at NOM have already invested heavily in the campaign to repeal Maine's new same-sex marriage law. You can help our side by donating via ActBlue. In Maine, every dollar counts.
Hat Tip, Mike, for forwarding the 2M4M email.
