Gerald at DirigoBlue.com has the details. Bottom line: It's close. Very close. No doubt the panic button has been pushed by the other side. Markos nails what this all means:
This is a very winnable race. But don't be complacent. The polls still show this as a virtual tossup (we'll have R2K back in the field in Maine one more time before the election, but we fully expect a 50-50 race), so the race will be decided by last-minute messaging and a good field operation. The campaign in Maine needs all the help it can get. We can win this, but it will be a battle to the bitter end.
You better believe the bigots will raise a crapload of money in this final push (reporting period ends the 15th, tomorrow) as the Mormons and other usual suspects do their darnedest to hold back progress one more year. And you better believe they'll use that money to further demonize gays and their supporters. So if you support equality, and if you want to hand the bigots their first real defeat ever, then get engaged. If you're in Maine, make sure to vote early -- your vote is money in the bank, and it could free you up for election day volunteering. If you're in New England, consider helping for a weekend or more. If you're not, and can afford a few bucks, help provide financial assistance to those fighting the good fight.
