The Catholic League's leading blowhard, the gay-obsessed Bill Donohue, isn't happy with Mike Signorile (again.) Donohue issued a ranting press release following Mike's appearance on the Joy Behar show the other night. Among, other things, Donohue didn't like what Mike said about the Pope. But, Mike debunked Donohue's claims because the Prada-wearing Pope is a homophobe:
Benedict has time and again discussed homosexuality and gay marriage as part of a civilizational downfall, including claiming that gay marriage is "an attack on creation."Donohue has a history of talking about Signorile -- in a really creepy way.
Donohue also claims that the Pope did not, as I stated, equate rainforest preservation with protecting culture from homosexuality and gay relationships. But this claim is also a complete distortion. Pope Benedict gave a much criticized speech saying that saving civilization from homosexuality was as important as defending the rainforests from environmental degradation:The Pontiff made the remarks yesterday in an end-of-year address to the Curia, the Vatican's central administration. He said that humanity needed to listen to the "language of creation" to understand the intended roles of man and woman and behaviour beyond traditional heterosexual relations was a "destruction of God’s work".
