Santorum: Marriage will "destroy the family" and "the institution of marriage"

| Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK

This seems like an appropriate follow-up to the post below, where we learned that marriage is much more stable in states that allow same-sex marriage.

Rick Santorum thinks otherwise.

RIght Wing Watch has a clip of Santorum's interview with Hate Group leader Tony Perkins. Here's an excerpt of Santorum's quote:

This has nothing to do with how two people want to live their lives. It has everything to do with an agenda that is ultimately going to destroy the family, weaken the family and weaken our religious liberties in this country. This is going to transform, you know, the left is very enthusiastic about this agenda because it is an opportunity to get after the things that they see standing in the way of them taking control, more control of your lives, which is the family and the church. And so what better to do that than by destroying the institution of marriage and by saying anybody who opposes them is a bigot and therefore, and that includes people in the clergy.
Santorum's got his facts wrong -- again. Take a listen to the clip at Right Wing Watch. Perkins and Santorum spend an awful lot of time obsessing over all things gay. Seriously. Way too much time.

I'm so glad Santorum is running for President so I can google his name every time I write a post. Every time.
