Another gay Utahn attacked

This is the THIRD attack in two weeks. Cameron Nelson was simply trying to take out the trash from the salon where he worked when he was beaten while gay epithets were shouted at him. John wrote about one of the most recent attacks here.

Police in Salt Lake City are still investigating attacks on two other gay men.

The two were attacked in separate incidents on Aug. 26. Dane Hall, 20, was assaulted by four men as he left a club. The suspects repeatedly punched Hall and stomped the side of his head. His cheekbone was shattered and he lost six teeth.

In the other assault, a group of men broke into a gay man’s apartment near 33 W. 200 South and beat up his boyfriend.
A LGBT community activist by the name of Eric Ethington believes the attacks are a result of a lack of concern among Utah's state officials.

Similarly, John wrote:
So much hate to go around. The man was severely injured enough to be in critical condition once he got to the hospital, but when he made his way to the police on the street, they were too busy to bother with him. It's likely not a coincidence that this took place in the heart of the Mormon faith, one of the most aggressively anti-gay activist forces in the world.
It can't be easy being gay and living in the heart of Mormon country when that faith has decided to make a special target of our civil rights. In fact, as these examples prove, it is becoming downright dangerous.
