British to discriminate somewhat less against gays giving blood

Now they'll only ban you for one year after you've had sex with another guy.  They claim they're worried that HIV or other diseases might be missed by testing, thus the long delay.  I'm curious how many people, six months into being HIV positive, still test negative?  Any?
