You may remember Sam Arora from the last time Maryland tried to pass marriage equality. Arora, who ran on a pro marriage equality platform, fervently, suddenly switched gears, with no explanation, leading many to wonder what happened behind closed doors to force such a sudden and extreme switch. Well, he's baaack. And just as sniveling a coward as before. From the Wash Post on the effort to pass marriage equality in Maryland this time around:
[A]nother Judiciary member who voted for the bill last year, Del. Sam Arora (D-Montgomery), has not committed to supporting the legislation this year — factors that could leave the bill short of a majority on the 22-member committee.Liar. You were happy to support the hypothetical marriage legislation when you ran for the seat. But now, mysteriously, you're back in the gay marriage closet. What happened? Who got to you? What did they say? What are you afraid of?
Arora said he is waiting to see the specifics of the bill that O’Malley puts forward.
“I will consider the bill when I see it,” he said. “I can’t comment on hypotheticals.”
Remind me in 3 years that we need to throw this guy out of office and guarantee that he never works in Democratic politics ever again.
