Gay groups join NAACP for march against racial profiling

It's an interesting question as to when it's okay for a group devoted to one cause to help with another related cause that still doesn't exactly fall under its rubric.

When GLAAD got involved in the AT&T/T-Mobile merger the cause wasn't even related, so it raised some eyebrows. But the ties are closer between civil rights for blacks and civil rights for gays - they're both civil rights. And considering how hard we've been pushing the NAACP for action on marriage equality - they now support it - I think it's hard to argue why we shouldn't be officially supporting their movement as well.
