American novelist says gay actor can't play straight man

Straight or gay, he's yummy.
Uh why?  Novelist Bret Easton Ellis doesn't really say.  He just keeps repeating, over and over again, that it's "ludicrous" to cast a gay man as a straight man because this particular role involves a straight guy who's is really into women, and how could a gay guy ever pull that off?

Uh, I don't know, maybe because he's an actor and every role that actors play is a lie?  Pink News quotes Ellis:
“I am NOT discriminating Matt Bomer because of his sexuality. Fifty Shades of Grey demands an actor that is genuinely into women. Get it?!?
No, I don't get it.  Unless you think Gaby and Carlos killed someone's stepfather in real life, and Brie actually is an alcoholic.  Otherwise, good actors are pretty remarkable at faking stuff.  It's what they're paid for.

PS This is the same idiot who criticized Dan Savage's "It Gets Better" campaign.
In 2010, the writer tweeted about Dan Savage’s It Gets Better video campaign, in which messages are recorded to assure LGBT youth life improves as they grow out of adolescence, Ellis tweeted “Not to bum everyone out, but can we get a reality check here? It gets worse.”
It clearly did for someone.
