AIDS study says HIV+ people on meds much less likely to transmit disease

The study, however, was mostly conducted on straight couples.  And more generally, I suspect it wouldn't be wise to throw caution to the wind and start having unsafe sex - if the study is wrong (or you're one of the people in the study who still got HIV), that's a hell of a down-side.

Comparing the two rates of infection, patients taking antiretroviral drugs were 96.3% less likely to pass on the virus. That result was highly statistically significant.
