French Foreign Ministry condemns violence at Moscow Pride

My unofficial translation below, with the help of Google (which did a great job, surprisingly):
VIOLENCE AT THE GAY PRIDE PROTEST IN MOSCOW (May 28)

With regards to the violence that took place May 28 at Gay Pride in Moscow, France reaffirms its commitment to freedom of expression for all and the right to peacefully demonstrate in safety.

We remind all that the European Court of Human Rights ruled in its decision of 21 October 2010 that the ban on this year's Moscow Gay Pride is contrary to Article 11 of the European Convention on human rights and fundamental freedoms.

France reiterates its condemnation of violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms based on sexual orientation or gender identity, regardless of the country where they are committed.
It's diplomatic speak, and in a roundabout way the French, nicely, criticized the Russian government (we remind you that the European court said banning the parade is a human rights violation by the Russian government, and then we condemn all human rights violations - ergo, we're condemning you, Russian government).  It's a good statement, I'd say better than the American one, which seemed to buy into the Russian government's already disproven claim that it moved in to save the protesters (the pic of Dan Choi being held upside down the Russian police pretty much dispelled that claim).
