Bishop Eddie Long has "successfully settled" his sexual misconduct suit out of court.
Georgia megachurch preacher Bishop Eddie Long has settled out of court with four young men who accused him of sexual misconduct, Long’s spokesman said Thursday.I wonder if any tax free church money went to quiet those who were involved in the suit? There are a lot of things I don't understand. For instance, I will never understand how someone could continue attending and giving to a church when their pastor or church won't address allegations of sexual abuse while holding themselves up as some sort of superior example or standard for others to follow.
In a statement posted on the Web site of Long’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, church officials said, “This decision was made to bring closure to this matter and to allow us to move forward with the plans God has for this ministry.”
