The Drodrolagi Movement (droMo) is a social, educational and support networkof lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, intersex, questioning (LGBTIQ), gender-variant, akava'ine, laelae, pinapinaaine, fa'afafine, fakaleiti, tongzhi, re fak hen and other identified students, and their allies and friends at the University of the South Pacific, Laucala Campus, Fiji.That's LGBTIQGALPFFTR.
I appreciate the desire to welcome everyone, and appreciate that people should be free to call themselves whatever they wish. But I have a feeling that eventually we're all going to be expected to use this ever-expanding list of letters to define ourselves, and at some point our "community" will include everyone on the planet. Which is very sweet, and appeals to our progressive sense of inclusiveness. But I worry that at some point all these letters become counter-productive, or simply meaningless.
