Axelrod slams Romney for flip-flopping on gay rights

From OnTopMag.com:

When host Christiane Amanpour asked Axelrod whether he believes Romney will be the GOP nominee to face Obama in 2012, Axelrod answered that the Romney campaign appears to be stuck in neutral.

“I really don't know. There was a poll out this week that showed him at the same 23 percent he's been throughout the race. Now Herman Cain is leading the primary. The last poll Rick Perry was leading it. Earlier Michele Bachmann was doing very well. But Romney stays the same.”
“Why? Because I think there is this question about what his core principles are,” Axelrod said.
Citing Romney's positions from when he was running for U.S. Senate and Massachusetts governor, Axelrod said that Romney is too willing to shift for political gain.

“Then he was a pro choice, pro gay rights, pro environmental candidate for office. Then he decided to run for president. Did a 180 on all of that.”
How pro-gay was Mitt Romney in 1994? I was asked by friends close to the Kennedy campaign to write a letter to the editor of the local gay paper in Boston admonishing gay Republicans, and the Romney campaign, for constantly claiming that Romney was just as pro-gay as Ted Kennedy. Yes, that was our little Mitt. Mr. Conservative. Not.
